Poetry: Love does not die

Love does not die

love is like a great tree, lovely and strong

fed by deep growing in the earth, in that there is no wrong

Pulling it to the nurturing waters beneath

with each passing year it grows

Taller...Bigger...Stronger

Winter comes, the leaves fall off of the branches

But death does not claim it

The life of the Tree climbs into the bosom of the earth where an intimate relationship began

there it feeds on the living waters of the deep and warmth of the dirt

Like the human love trouble comes

But before things go worse the heart seeks that deep memory of love

from there it sucks the nurturing water of love bringing back the fruits of life

But False love dies at the first sign of a bitter drought.
