A healthy and moisturised tanned skin is indeed very attractive and it looks great in almost every colour we choose to wear. However, there are some tips worth remembering if we want to accentuate and draw attention to our tan.
Opt for a classic elegance. Natural colors such as white, black, beige, cream and grey will look great combined with golden bronze carnation. An obvious choice of light linen fabrics is always a hit both for men and women, plus it will equip you in this almost careless and unconstrained sexiness that will pull many glances. The contrast with light colors will of course make your skin look a bit darker and enhance the tan but sophisticated black is never a miss.
Bolder characters may always go for the flamboyant Indian or African look. Bright colors from the far East or the Caribbean and a tan is yet another great tried out combination. Gorgeous pink, purple, turquoise, red sari-like dresses and tunics are a perfect option for people who are not afraid of attention and who love to play with different styles and shades. Bright and fresh colors of summer together with naturally bronzed skin will make you look happy and stunning. You can check out fashion catalogues for an inspiration as many designers often play with bright colors when creating their S/S collections.
Although I don't see any limitations in terms of mixing colors with a tan, I would be careful with brown and yellow, as you might risk blending those with the color of your skin and as a result end up looking as if wearing a one color costume. However, gold looks amazingly well with darker skin tones so you should simply watch out not to overdo with yellowish shades and, if possible, ask a friend for advice. Tanned skin differs too and it depends on an individual if the particular color suits them or not. Other than that, decide between the cooler and the more extravagant option and always use your common sense while figuring out the outfit. Remember that less is usually better than more.
Finally, bear in mind that a natural tan is a desired accessory in itself so restrain yourself from heavy make up and tones of jewelry. A few silver bracelets will look fantastic during day or night, while your face should preferably stay free of heavy foundations and be only touched by a small amount of powder. Last, but not least, moisturising is a must. Not only will it prevent the skin from going dry from the increased amount of sun but it will also give it a sexy shine and glow.
