Pros and cons of writing on Constant Content

Constant Content is very different in some ways from Helium. CC, as it is known to its members, is a dedicated marketplace where buyers come looking for content for their websites. Rating is not done by other members, but by an editor with a keen eye for spelling, grammar and formatting mistakes. Rejection is immediate if the guidelines are ignored, and irreversible unless the writer amends the mistakes. It's a tough gig - but the rewards can be great.

The Pros:

CC is a respected website where buyers know they will find content that has been thoroughly vetted by an experienced editor. Therefore they can buy with confidence, and often pay well for full rights to the material. If you can break in, you become one of these trusted writers.

You can set your own price. Rather than accept the generally low prices offered elsewhere for content, you can set a price you feel is worth the effort and time you have put in to your article.

CC defends its writers against plagiarism. On at least two occasions, the site owners have gone to bat for the writers in the arena of plagiarized content, and have had the content taken down. It's a comfort to know they don't leave it all up to the writers. This is good business as well - CC offers exclusive content for full rights and if it appears elsewhere on the Internet, it violates the agreement with buyers. CC also goes to great lengths to make it harder for content to get stolen.

You can write on any subject and find a category for it, because the categories are mostly general rather than specific. You can write any length, and include as much or as little information as you wish. As well, buyers put up their own requests and many CC writers have established regular sales with these buyers.

You can offer your worth for full, unique or usage only rights. Full rights and unique generate the most income, but if you want to publish the articles elsewhere (or have already published them) you must offer only usage. When an article is sold for full or unique rights, it cannot be offered for sale again, but usage can sell many times (as CC writers can attest).

You can offer images, artwork and video for sale through CC.

You do not have to market or advertise your work. In return for the commission, CC seeks out buyers, and takes care of all the advertising and promotion.

You do not have to deal personally with editors or chase companies for payment. CC takes care of that as well.

CC buyers often leave a web address where your articles have been
