are left for the fowl and wildlife. habitat is therefore kept for the wildlife around us.
I also wonder if any of you have researched the harm that wildlife can do to the domesticated animal? Cattle can die from disease that is spread from deer and elk. Fowls can spread diseases from the waste that they excrete. When wild animal populations are not kept in check they do die. They coyotes get mange or rabies, which is detrimental to all animals. The wild life can, and do starve if enough food is not available. Deer can get a disease called blue tongue, which can be spread to domestic animals.
All deer are not Bambi. They are not cute and cuddly. They are a wild animal. I love horses. we have them. We love them. They are a part of our life. What happens to the wild horses if the population is not maintained. There are few predators to help control the horse population. What happens if food becomes scarce? Are you who have written the nine articles willing to come and buy hay and feed the horses? They will break wire fences to get to hay the ranchers feed their cattle. They will get tangled in the wire, and die a horrible death from cuts, no food nor water, and much suffering. What becomes of the old who have no teeth can not fend for themselves any more? They slowly starve to death. Which is more humane? Have any of you asked yourselves these things? The rancher and farmer loves the land, and the animals on it. He is a good steward.
There are good and bad in all walks of life. We do have bad farmers and ranchers. But they are in the great minority. Are all PETA members perfect or stand for the right reasons? I guarantee not! We as people must look at all sides to any debate or issue and do what is right and best for all. No rancher wants to put any animal down, but sometimes we must do things we don't enjoy because it is a part of the life circle.
Thank you for reading. I don't think I will change any minds, but maybe you may look at things differently. As I have stated, I am not a great writer, but this article came from the heart.
I believe that all animals have a place on our planet, but as a realist I believe that we should use good judgement in all things.
