Whatever attainable resolution we may set, sometimes it slips and slides, as we try to propel ourselves to the end result. In some cases, it could be very frustrating as we keep running in a vicious cycle like a hamster.
I believe it would be helpful, if we analyze the steps we take in the process, that way, we would be able to conquer the causes which hinder us from achieving our goal.
Lets say, you want to lose some weight, and you know that the first step that you have to take is, to stop eating junk food, but you keep doing it. Ask yourself why you are eating it over and over, while you know that, it hinders you from reaching your goal.
In many cases, the cycle of "resolution" is as follows:
Every New year, we try to start with a new spirit, so we set our "resolution". Until March, we stick to it, it starts to grow. As the year keeps rolling, we get busier with our daily lives, so the focus on our determination slips away. As a result, the "resolution" starts to limp, slowly, it gets paralyzed.
By the end of December, again the "resolution" gets re-ignited! here we go, again we start another cycle with the same "resolution"! As we repeat the cycle over and over again, the "resolution" may die, and we give up on the idea of giving it another try.
Whenever we put out a thought on something, and are determined, that determination is streamed from and conceived within our inner being. Day by day, somehow, we get distracted with daily life stressors, so we let that "resolution" get buried, and that may lead us into having unfinished emotion, we may live with it ,on and off, without achieving anything
Now, lets see some key factors, which would help us to stick to our resolution:
* Get focused and connected with your inner being:
That is where the driving force of your life resides, and your goal is originated from, to be carried out all the way to your destination, so if you lose connection with it, you also would lose your direction to your goal.
Example, if a pilot flies to a specific destination, but his/her connection with the ground is cutoff, for sure there would be an obvious problem of landing the plane.
* Maintain your inner peace:
Your plans, thoughts, goals.... are your products. If hatred, grudges, un handled stress are running and burning inside you, whatever goal or plan you set, would never work. As keeping up with resentments, and hatred will cost you energy, and peace of mind, stop waging war with yourself, learn to forgive, clean your mess, detoxify your
