Tim's Adventure:
It was a dark and stormy night and Tim hid underneath his covers trying to keep the cold air from numbing his body. Twisting one way and then the other he tried to go to sleep but even though he closed his eyes sleep just would not come. He even tried counting sheep but every time they tried to jump over the fence they ended up doing summersaults instead to which needless to say always ended up with them landing on their heads and even though this was quite hilarious this did not do anything to help him get to sleep. So instead of closing his eyes and trying once more to try and go to sleep he just stared at his open closet door that was set into his wall to which was a few feet from the foot of his bed. Tim never liked his closet in fact he only went in there when necessary and he always kept the door closed but for some odd reason the door was open . Perhaps he thought that is why he could not get to sleep; yes, that must be it so he will just have to get up face the cold floor and go over and close the closet door then he will be able to sleep. This was easier said than done for even though his mind was made up his body was less than willing to embrace the cold. After a few failed attempts he was finally able to drag his body out of bed and stubble over to the closet door as he was closing it he thought he heard a low rumble coming from inside but he wasn't sure putting his ear up to the closed door he listened to see if he could hear it again. Hearing nothing we went back to his bed, crawled underneath his blankets closed his eyes and went to sleep. Somewhere around midnight he woke with a yell realizing it was just a bad dream he was about to close his eyes when they happened to glance briefly at the closet door it was open again but this time there was a reddish orange light pulsating from the back of the closet. Some inward feeling told Tim to stay in bed and to hide underneath the closet but his curiosity was just too strong. Getting out of bed, he walked to the closet and looked in.
The light he saw was engraved in the sides of a tunnel that lead out from the back of his closet to a land that reached the shores of a blue crystal sea and there was land beyond that as well. Not believing his eyes Tim was just about to put his right foot in when his brain suddenly kicked in and screamed WAIT! What Are You Doing? Are You an Idiot? Tell Me You Were Not About To Step Into an Unknown Tunnel That Leads To An Unknown World That May Have Creatures
