Poetry: Confusion

by Paul Kinley

Created on: December 29, 2008

The bones shutter

Quake at the thought

The idea uttered

Causes one to be distraught

Confounded in that

Anything could cause such

Confusion, in fact

That one could feel so much

Lost to world

are ones emotions

Fluent thought hurled

Into chaotic commotion

Why does everything invoke

A visceral reaction

And anything provoke

A mental detachment
