I watched the moon go down
But I never felt the sunrise
I watched the moon go down
And never felt so far from alive
I watched the moon escape
But never felt the sun invade
I watched your sorrow slip away
But never saw a smile replace
I saw how far you were from hope
I saw your faith slowly fade
As I saw the moon go down
I felt your breath decay
I watched the moon go down
But I never felt the sunrise
I watched the moon go down
And never wanted to see again
