I walk down this long dusty road,
Searching for hope in my troubled woes,
Looking for hope, preparing for pain,
Then something happened, never to be the same.
The cars that flow so fast down people laden roads,
While children run laughing not looking where they go,
The lady pumps her gas without fear of a spark,
The squirrels chase each-other on wires in the park.
The bricklayer hangs from the steeple he bricks,
Never giving it thought if he falls, if he slips,
Then suddenly I realized that miracles each day,
May have been prevented, had no angels stood in the way.
So, as you walk with a friend,
Or drive down the road,
Be thankful each moment,
For things you'll never know.
