A reflection of time and wasted moments often are a result of one coming to the realization of getting older , and as I age it has come to my understanding that the lack of assuming responsibility can often lead us to miss the opportunity of investing in a future blessing , Yep the devil thought he had me but Jesus stepped in and snatched me . - A Reflection of time while playing with my Grandson .
FORWARD
Breaking The Cycle
This was the Preacher's first and last chance to say or do something that would lead a sinner to Christ , A sinner that felt all Churches were just a means to extract the money out of my pockets , a mere house of theft led by gangsters in the midst of a hustle .
At least that's what I told my wife was the reason that I would never join a Church , But thank God I have a Praying wife that was patient with me and loyal to Christ , in other words She did Her part , and even through it took her a day and a half of argument , She got me to Church and now it was the Preacher's turn to open His mouth and allow God to change a life .
The sermon was entitled "Break the Cycle" and this soul winning message was so powerful that it cracked a hard heart that day and allowed the Holy Ghost to burst apart a lifetime of hate, hurt and harm and when I got up off of the floor the cycle had indeed been broken , Glory be to God ! ...
But wait a minute , Now what do You do with me ? here I am a 300 pound unchurched thug , a bodyguard for the underworld , draped in thousands of dollars in gold and diamonds , a wanabe gangster type of fellow , and I'm walking up to the Alter crying and hoping my pistol didn't fall out , and I'm saying within my heart ... except me , love me , forgive me ...
One word , One chance , One message , that's all we've got in most cases involving those whom need a word and a touch from the Lord ,and if your in line with Christ and His message of finding then feeding His lost sheep , then that One time is more than enough and you won't mind embracing a wretch like me and saying welcome home we've been waiting for You .
There was a popular slogan out a few years ago that said " what would Jesus do " and guess what , I've finally found the universal answer to this universal question , which is to carry out "The Great Commission " do what Jesus did" and that is not only the answer to this universal question , but it is the solution to a universal problem of reaching the lost "do what Jesus did" by breaking the cycle of tradition when traditions stand
