As the golden ball of fire
begins to melt behind the hill
All is strangely quiet
very peaceful and surreal.
The sizzling orb of yellow
has now become a globe of red
As it lowers its fiery furnace
and prepares itself for bed.
Soon will come the moon
and all the stars to take its place
Who will disappear by morning
never having left a trace.
Then once again we'll awaken
to the brightness of the sun
Who will pour all of its life
into each and everyone.
