Poetry: Father

"PRECIOUS LOVE"

You gave the gift of life

And wisdom of your heart

I can feel unconditional love

When we are miles apart

The man that I have become

Is because of the bond we share

I will never walk this road alone

Because your love is always there

Right from the very beginning

You were there to hold my hand

Allowing me to walk my path

And grow into this man

A man who loves his family

And always place them first

To cherish them in the good times

And stay there at the worst

You mean so very much to me

More than words could say

You are the morning sun

That brightens up my day

Thank you for being my father

My true and dearest friend

When this world lets me down

On your words I can depend

Now that I am a father

Who cherishes his family

The reason I am this way

Is because believed in me

Our family is a testament

Of our heavenly father above

We tsand the test of time

Because of your precious love
