Hidden in plain sight with no intent to conceal
You wouldn't believe , even when told that the trap was real
You said I'm a man now , and I've seen it all
Take heed young man, there's no writing no wall
Its there to entangle , but it looks so cool
It whispers sell dope, or drop out of school
The cash was like leaves, of a tree with no root
You now thirst for life cause you settled for loot
Hind sight twenty twenty , I look back and see me
Advice flows like water , get wet and be free
It's never to late , just insert this mental key
Unlock your potential , turn. click, twist and flee
Education provided the knife, that sliced the noose
A repeatable equation , repeat it , get loose
Hidden in plain sight , with no intent to conceal
The key is in school, that's the truth , and its real

Poetry: Escaping the trap
Escaping the trap of sin
It’s sad that so many people are trapped in their own sin.
Living this type of life only
by Katie Fagan
She awoke to the bleak and callous tiles,
harboring her apathetic afflicted body.
Lights flickering and causing an echo sound
It was normal, they said,
For man to be in conflict with man
Over love or money or ideas or power
It always was and always
by Dea
It is the family which began to write
on the immaculate slate of human awareness.
By the time of maturity it is so overwritten-
I will not be shackled and chained
Nothing can hold me here
You will not leave unexplained
Don't try to tame me with fear
