This secret I avoided
Didn’t share with you
I’m really half android
Please hear me through
.
Serum type forty-seven
Dedicated model 422
Have an integrated system
To understand all points of view
.
With modified circuits
To endure most pain
And just enough wits
To seem humanly sane
.
They broke the time lever
Don’t know my age
Been alive forever
Trapped on a timeless stage
.
My mother board is rated
By a satellite in the sky
And automatically updated
As the eons go by
.
If my steps falter
And my gait sways
With thoughts altered
Don’t be dismayed
.
If my words get stuck
You’ll surely know why
Because they pulled my plug
From the satellite in the sky

where does that leave me
without you? That's something I cannot see
I'm
by Carol Gioia
Out on a limb,
filled with regret,
balancing my act,
with no safety net.
Hovering on the edge
of uncertainty,
barely containing
