Salt and my personal experience.
Quick easy advice for many ailments you may have. Just in case you didn't know, too much salt is the cause of a lot of our health issues and I base this on the many reports, experiments, word of mouth and most important to me, is trial and error.
What salt does to your body is that it "makes" your body retain water. Well if your body retains water, you are going to be bigger in size and heavier in weight which is a health issue and high blood pressure being the biggest! For those of you who are more concerned about your looks, well you are going to look bigger (fat), and are going to be heavier (fat) with all this water retention.
Now let me tell how I "live and learn" with these quick stories.
I never use salt with my food, but just in case you did not know, just about everything that you buy has salt in it and some have a lot. At one period in my life my diet was heavy with salt and within about 3 months I put on 20 pounds. During this time when I would bend over to tie my shoes, I noticed my head would pound with every heartbeat. I noticed it but it did not occur to me what was going on.
So one day I had to get a physical for a job that I was trying to get and when the doctor took my blood pressure, he was shocked. He took it again and then told me that I should go straight to the hospital, and not wait until tomorrow and go to my doctor. He said my blood pressure was so high that he was afraid that I was going to have a stroke and or heart attack at any moment. I was totally surprised, but did not go to the hospital as advised, but did go to my doctor the next day. My doctor was in shock and immediately started writing out prescriptions. This is when it sat in that I was in trouble, but also it hit me as to what was causing this, my diet, or more importantlySALT.
I made a deal with my doctor that I would only take the water pills and make all the other corrections needed. And if when I came back in two weeks my blood pressure has not fallen significantly, that I would take the rest of the prescriptions. What I did was increase my exercise, but most importantly I eliminated most of the salt in my diet.
Two weeks later my doctor was amazed, and I told him to give me another month and I would be all good and indeed it was.
But to absolutely prove this theory of salt, it made itself absolutely clear recently with my present diet. You see during the week my diet is very healthy and on the weekend I treat myself with whatever I choose,
