I can feel you in the air
Your pulse
You are not giving me a care
busy chasing new cheap thrills
The thorn and the petals of the rose
Can't have one without the other
burns a hole in my soul,
to let me know I am alive
You are with someone new
baring your leo teeth
handsome for the prey
I put my hands together
You stared so long at yourself in the mirror
yet although I was there
you missed my reflection
I want to tear your veils apart
and meet you on the other side
I need to taste the freedom on your breath
and see the truth of love in your eyes
Yet you are out of reach,
hunting new distractions in shallow waters
scared to no longer be able to ignore me in the mirror
it is my face you are looking at
I have no pride
I laid at your feet for so long
Just to see the stars from your view
This is your game
I was your willing prey
Love me, said the lion
It is in my nature to kill
