It seems that you've just realized
your hot drink has lost its fire
after an hour or less of negligence
Look at your sleeves, please and
notice that you're wearing a jacket inside
You know you could close the door
if you wanted
Close the window, stop the
cold air from getting to you
Does it seem a bit more comforting
to be bundled up in this mind chilling weather?
Maybe it does, but I know
Know you'd rather sit
on the floor of some
thought scalding shower
and try to believe that the pale whiteness
lack of color in the tiles around you
doesn't mean you're in an institution
doesn't mean you should be
keep your heart up.
And I know you, so take off the jacket
Close the door and dim the lights
This is not an invitation to bed -
it couldn't be.
Come sit on the floor
with me here, where we'll get grounded -
Pull ourselves together so we won't tear ourselves apart
Sit on our hands so we can't turn
any doorknobs, or reopen the pity window
Lets put our heads together, and
hold our hands together
so you can't cradle your head in your hands anymore
Get the elmers glue
a magnifying glass
and some chicken soup -
and come back to the mirror
so you can see me better.
My best advice is
To listen to your own

Poetry: Frozen soul
When it storms
Dark clouds creep in
And the rain begins to pore
My soul sinks in
Pain enters my core
And my spirit begins
What's wrong with me?
Why am I so cold inside?
Around my heart there's ice,
I can't see any light.
I feel like
Oh frozen soul, caught in my rhyme,
why are you a nemesis to the passage of time?
Surely you'll find, happiness in the pursuit
by Pegs
Look around, oh look around
How grand is this silent day
The sky is like the bluest flame
And the ground is as white as
Abuse of the Innocent
A frozen soul
ice for a heart
you used your puppy's leash
a length of rope
to lash him once, twice
before
