Forty years ago I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. This was before the term "bipolar" had been declared. I was declared paranoid, schizophrenic and manic depressive. I was in my 20s. I was a young mother with many responsibilies. My husband didn't believe in helping with the house or the children. My diet consisted of coke, coffee and headache powders. To make a long story short, I eventually was led to an herbalist because some folks even thought I had been "hexed" - well I didn't believe in hexing, but I said, whatever, I can't get any worse. I was given a strict regimen of herbs, vitamins and healthy organic foods to ingest. Now I am the owner of an Internet Health Food Store called
Needless to say, my disorder is gone. It didn't leave overnight, but it was practically overnight. I have personal experience. Organic foods, plus nutritional support of vitamins, minerals and herbs will definitely help with bipolar disorders and my experience now includes other people than myself. Unfortunately my knowledge and experience did not come in time to save my son. He was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in his late teens and I still hadn't made that connection. I believed that the medical practitioners could help him better than herbs, minerals and vitamins. He was given psychotropic drugs that depressed him so terribly that he drowned in the river a few years after beginning them. He was an excellent swimmer, so we will never know whether the drugs had him so doped up he was not aware of what he was doing, or if he had just given up from the drug induced depression.
I am now a grandmother and one of my grandchildren was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She actually was much worse than I was because she had extreme manic mood swings as well as visual and auditory hallucinations. Our family was frantic. We didn't know what to do. The herbalist that I had gone to had been gone for many years. I had just opened my store so I began to research different products to see if I could find something to help this child. She had reached the stage where she might not have been able to continue attending regular school and she was barely 12 years old. My studies did indeed lead me to a combination of herbs, minerals and vitamins that have completely repressed her symptoms, and there have been absolutely no side effects - no mood swings or changes, depression, hyperactivity or anything at all. Omowale's Herb Garden has vitamins, minerals and herbs that have proven to be helpful in bipolar disorders by more than just my testimony.
