World of Warcraft: Is it a waste of time?

If you do not think "World of Warcraft" is a waste of your time, then it is not a waste of your time.
If you think that playing World of Warcraft is a waste of your time, then it is a waste of your time. Even though I am not really into World of Warcraft, I really do not consider it to be a waste of time. The game is not really my cup of tea. I happen to be more into "Ragnarok Online." If I called World of Warcraft a waste of time, that would make me a hypocrite. Like World of Warcraft, Ragnarok Online is also a mass-multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG).

Playing World of Warcraft is no different from participating in a hobby. Not all hobbies are the same. My idea of a hobby will be different from another person's idea of a hobby. One person may like to do sewing, another may like to practice martial arts, and the other may like to play World of Warcraft. If one said that playing World of Warcraft is a waste of time, it would be no different from saying that sewing is a waste of time. It would be saying that hobbies in general are a waste of time. If you called World of Warcraft a waste of time, someone could call your hobbies a waste of time. If you like to play cards, someone could say that is a waste of time. If you like to cook, someone could say that is a waste of time.

However, I do not feel that World of Warcraft is a waste of time. If you like MMORPG titles, then you may like World of Warcraft. I would consider this an investment of time and money.
Also, it could possibly be profitable as well. Like many MMORPG titles, World of Warcraft has its own main storyline. Under that one storyline, there are a bunch of different storylines in the form of special events and quests. There is so much replay value in World of Warcraft. While there is a beginning, there is certainly no end. It is something to keep you going. As long as you have something to keep you going, you are definitely going to have fun.

In a sense it makes you smarter as certain quests and events have prerequisites. It is a valuable lesson to learn in which that not everything in the world can be solved by "force." This is a great lesson to learn. It teaches players to adapt. In today's world, you have to learn how to adapt. If you do not, you are as good as dead. You cannot survive in today's world without being able to adapt. Once you get the hang of World of Warcraft, you will do very fine.

If you are working in a team, it will teach you teamwork. There are some quests and monsters that cannot be handled alone.
In those cases, you need to work as a team. If you can work as a team, then you should do fine. In today's world, teamwork is very important in most cases. If you are new to World of Warcraft, learning teamwork is a good way of developing a base of support.

This is a good way to make friends and "allies." There have been some instances in which couples romantically hooked up through World of Warcraft. At the same time, it is a good activity for couples to participate in. My friend and his girlfriend play a lot of World of Warcraft together. In that respect, it does seem to be a good way to get your significant other into video games.

Regardless, World of Warcraft should be treated like any other hobby. Because of this, it should not be regarded as merely a waste of time.
The teamwork dynamic comes in very handy for any occasion. If you run a business and need employees to work together, World of Warcraft is a very effective way to teach them teamwork. Overall, World of Warcraft is very entertaining and educational.

However, play World of Warcraft in moderation. If you drink, you do it in moderation. If you work out, you do it in moderation. World of Warcraft is simply no different.
