If you know a woman in your life who loves to cook and you need to give her a present, then half of your problem is already solved. Cookware is an excellent gift idea, and they're not hard to find. Here are some ideas to get your gift-giving juices flowing.
1. Cookie sheet
Bakers love getting new cookie sheets. But, with the vast array of choices out there, the gift-giver can get a little overwhelmed. A great cookie sheet is made from All-Clad, a company whose products are used by professionals. Some of their cookie sheets are quite expensive, depending on how big it is, but they are well worth the price. These cookie sheets will last a lifetime. Other great cookie sheets come from other companies too, such as Chicago Metallic, Baker's Secret, WearEver, and Farberware.
2. Cheese Slicer
This is a great gadget to have on hand. Your woman will surely love the ease with which she can make appetizer platters, cheese sandwiches, etc. Plus, cheese slicers are relatively inexpensive. If you purchase a stainless steel one, however, be prepared to spend a bit more.
3. Cutting Tongs
Cutting tongs are excellent to use for when your special someone needs to cut a large piece of meat, a turkey or any sort of poultry, or anything large and unwieldy in general. They grip the object firmly, allowing precise cutting and slicing. These aren't that expensive, but the larger ones do cost a little more. However, they're a one-of-a-kind gift that your lover or friend will enjoy for years to come.
4. Springform Pan
A springform pan is one of the most useful pans for baking in. They allow easy removal of cakes, and are great for use with cheesecakes. A good-quality springform pan is rather expensive, but again, is well worth the money when you think of how long it can last.
5. Mortar and Pestle
I love mortar and pestles because they add a distinctive flair to my kitchen and their uses are numerous. So, I'm sure that any woman who loves to cook will love this as a gift. On the plus side, these sets are quite inexpensive and will last for years. I'm also certain that not every woman gets a mortar and pestle every year.
6. Digital Scales
Scales are vital in the kitchen, especially if the woman of the kitchen loves to bake. Digital scales measure ingredients accurately and quickly, saving time and money. If you know that your special woman has been using outdated measuring cups, then it's high time that you think of giving her a digital scale.
7. Cast iron pan/cookware
Cast iron pans are the heavy duty workers of the kitchen. They work great for frying foods in, and for baking things such as cornbread. Good-quality cast iron cookware is expensive, but they last for a long time if used and taken care of properly.
These are just some gift ideas that you can give to your special woman and make her give you a big, warm smile. Some of them are not expensive, and some cost a bit more, but whatever the price, the feeling that your woman gets is priceless.
