This issue has been in existence since this game started. How do you win a game that is so based on the luck of the role. Well I haven't found a sure fire way of winning such a game but when I do you'll be the first to know. So the things I'll be telling you are from personal experience just the best chance that you have at getting those bragging rights for your family.
The first thing that I must stress to you is the people that you are playing with. If you're playing with Your sister and all of her friends you better come prepared to loose the game. It is very hard to win this game unless if you have other people playing that are willing to help you out if you help them. If you have people playing that are only playing to try to make you loose then odds are you are. So as you can see you will want to play this game with other people that are trying to win too, as long as they don't ry too hard to win.
Now you come to the game play. This is when there are many different variations of this part. Now every person will tell you a different way to buy and which properties to buy and which ones not to. Fortunatly for you I will make this easy on you, BUY EVERYTHING YOU LAND ON. Now this may seem like a stupid idea because once you get a monopoly you won't be able to buy as much worth of houses. The only problem with the whole being conservative plan is that you need property to bargain with to get a monopoly. So in other words as the first step, buy everything that you can.
Now that you have all the property that you can get you have to start thinking about getting a monopoly in some color. The way you do this is normally by trading one of your properties that will benefit someone else for a property that will benefit you. In this part of the game you want to be one of the first people to this point so as to take everyone's money before they takes yours. What else you want to do is keep as many people in the dark as you can. You don't want to say I'll give everyone a monopoly so that I can get one. IT DOESN'T WORK. You normally just get into the same position that you started where it's everyone has a chance to win. In games you want to eliminate an enemy. You don't want to give your opponent a sword to stab you with.
If all works well at this point in the game you will most likely be winning. If you're not it's scrambling time. In this part you do anything to try to give the upper hand even if you think that it will kill you later because then you at least have a chance of winning. This is better then what you have when you start loosing.
You hopefully now that you have read this guide you can go out and start kicking some serious butt. If you win then good job but unfortunately even with this plan you don't always win. If there was some sure fire way to win I would have found it by now, but since there isn't you'll have to settle with winning 90% of the time.
