As I walk through the halls at school, or even throughout the mall, I can't help but be annoyed by some of the new "trends" in fashion. Their is a certain celebrity influence in all of fashion, but lately, it seems that the celebrity has given us a turn for the worst, take for example Kiera Knightley, that girl will wear a belt with anything.
Apparently, the cool new thing to do is to wear a belt directly below your breasts. This is unflattering as well as unattractive for many reasons firstly it puts a harsh line right in the middle of your torso and it also does not stand a chance of looking good if the person wearing it weighs anymore than 120 pounds.
Another annoying trend is Skull patterns on everything, shirts, headbands, shoes, etc. Nicole Richie, Michelle Trachenburg and Lindsay Lohan have all been spotted sporting skulls in the past month. Skullsare only cool if you're goth or a pirate, I reckon that none of those girls are.
And Lastly, the annoying trend that I think everyone could do without is covering yourself head to toe in labels. Sure, a label piece is great to work with in an outfit, but you don't have to be a walking bilboard for Chanel, Louis Vuitton or D&G everyday.
This is my annoying trends list for January 2007.
