IN THE LIGHT
In beginning to learn and acquire knowledge, it accumulates, but, does knowing that a basket is made out of reeds mean this is wisdom? It is clever learning all that is required to make one. The wisdom here would be in what uses it could be of. It would hardly be wise to carry something so heavy it would break the basket, nor liquid which would leak. If this is too simple, remember wisdom does not have to be complicated. Complications are added by lack of wisdom.
Wisdom is how to use knowledge once it is acquired. Humans are given a mind to discern, and wisdom is making the right decisions when or where-ever required. In as much as one may have all the knowledge required to be a motor mechanic, wisdom would go out the window if the same mechanic drove his new machine at high speed on the wrong side of the road in peak hour traffic. Logic and reason are more on the side of wisdom, than only knowledge.
Atomic science might have all the knowledge in the world to build a bomb, and no-one can deny the wisdom of how even in use as Nuclear Medicine, it helps and saves lives. But there certainly is no wisdom when it comes to the nuclear waste. With all the knowledge, there is more waste which leaves a gaping problem.
The complications of this waste have already created too much damage which cannot even be changed by the very creators. Asking where is the wisdom in this is easy to answer. It lies with 'the lack of', in how to contain the waste. They, the human factor, should have discerned this what they are working with, before using it. This would have been more wise.
So how does a human acquire wisdom if it's not complicated? Wisdom is a mushroom, which cannot be seen until it comes into the light. Attaining this is to grow beyond the dark where even in the recesses of the human mind, learning born as knowledge grows; while experience teaches.
When it becomes wisdom, light is seen in action, as the result of that growth. Wisdom is not the loud voice shouting from the rooftops of acclaim for itself. It is the quiet inner knowing which is to share with the whole human race. And sometimes... one only has to look at another, to see the wisdom of their thoughts. This is the light wisdom cannot conceal.
Wisdom understands when it is needed... that is why it is not complicated; and takes only patience to acquire. It's like a good fruit tree, which does not produce it's first until at least seven years. When nurtured, just like the fruit will prove it's flavor, so will wisdom testify itself.
