Working while going to school is not easy. The struggle is balancing your time between school studies and work. This is not simple, because some employers are not that flexible. If you do not have a car, it is even harder to find work unless it is on campus or close to it. However, money is still needed. College is not free which is why working is not an option, it is a necessity. A college student must find some income producing activity to help them pay for books and supplies. Below are some odd jobs to consider.

If you look on the school bulletin, their will be jobs posted. Babysitting is one of the easiest jobs to find and do. Mothers and fathers need help. Depending on where you live, the parents will pay you $10/hr and more. Look around. Remember once, you find a gig work no more than 20 hours a week. Your education comes first.
Dog Walker
This is very easy job. Some people will pay you $15/hr just to walk there dog from one end of the street to the other. All you have to do is make sure their pet is well fed and comfortable. Look on craigslist and classifieds to find work like this. Ask around.
Tutor
This is a great one. No matter how smart someone is, they come to a point when they need help. Offer to tutor other students for money. If you are good in a subject such as Com 101 or History, let people know. Use your expertise to your advantage. Help someone else in the meantime. Put up ads on what you do. Print up fliers or advertise in the bulletin.
Type up Papers
Typing up terms papers for $10 can help someone. Most college students don't enjoy typing up papers. If you are the computer "type" of person, let people know you do it. Charge $10 - $15 for two pages. Before you know it, you will be bringing in some cash.

It helps to be a helper. It may even put some money in your pocket if you're smart. Offer to be someone's personal helper. This is a person who takes care of the shopping and appointments. Advertise through the public school fliers, emails and bulletins. Charge by the hour. You help the person stay on track. It is similar to being a person assistant. There is a lot of running around. Make sure you have a car is you are going to take on this type of work.
Clean up
Couldn't we all use someone to clean our home? Yes we could. Sometimes it helps to have someone come and clean your apartment. This is very simple to do. All you need is a mop, broom, rag and cleaner. That's it. Advertise online, on paper and by word of mouth. Charge per room. Do a great job the first time and you will get referrals.
