Once again, I feel isolated.
No-one here who cares about me.
Everyone's realised who I've become,
And run away, I'm all alone.
Most people, when they go home,
Find love and warmth there to greet them.
When I return, the cold emptiness,
Bombards my lonely heart.
I don't know where I went wrong,
I don't understand why no-one sings my song.
All I ever wanted was to be loved,
But I guess that's just too much to ask.
Everything I loved has been taken away,
My world has come tumbling down.
I don't have the energy to start building,
The pain and grief is weighing me down.
I try to smile, try to laugh,
But it gets too hard sometimes,
With no-one beside you to keep you strong,
Loneliness is the only one that stayed with you all along.
