The future generation of video game consoles

In the world today we have so many consoles, like the PS3, Nintendo Wii and the XBox 360.

The technology is brilliant and many people are buying them worldwide and are enjoying them, furthermore the consoles these days do more than playing games, they can play videos, surf the net and play music.

But there are future consoles to come out like the PS4 but what might be in the console, will people enjoy it like the existing consoles. One of the features I would like on a console is that you can create and edit your work so you can play and work in one place, moreover it would be a great hit if it had a feature like that, because it spreads to a wider audience meaning more people would buy the actual console.

The future consoles, will most probably make the game look realistic but the PS3 and XBOX 360 have already done that, for example NFS Undercover, the graphics looks realistic and looks like the real world.

However, there is one problem with the PS3, it is that sometimes it overheats, so on the PS4 they should make it less likely to overheat in the future.

Technology is advancing everyday and the consoles are one way of showing it, like the graphics, hard disk and all the features, in the past it all used to be black and white and you could only play games, then it moved on and there was colours but it was all pixels. But today it is all smooth and everything looks real.

There is another problem, the price, when the PS3 came out it was nearly 300 but if there is a new console, how much will it cost. It might be a failure if no-one buys it, but the console might be good but people might not be able to afford it even middle classes people.

However, although the price was high on the PS3 more than 16 million got sold however more than 20 million Xbox 360's got sold round the world but the Nintendo Wii was the most popular and it is going to be more popular with the wii fit which was introduced this year (2008).

I think that gaming has become something in the everyday life and everyone enjoys, even young and old people enjoy it (because of the Nintendo Wii). Nearly everyone talks about it, in school, work or on the street.

The future of gaming will be extraordinary and it will make the real life come to the screen, people from young to old will be playing and talking. Sometimes it brings family and friends more closer together. Consoles aren't just for gaming anymore, it is more.
