Why Americans should support the troops!

Americans should support the troops because "it's the right thing to do"! Why you ask? Let's put things in perspective, "the troops" are our sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers, friends and neighbors, cousins, fellow citizens; they are but an extension of "us" (WE The People, from The Constitution). "Yes they chose to serve", with reasons as varied as their backgrounds, but the end result of their choice and training was the same; "they" became Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Coast Guardsmen, Marines, sworn to defend "our Nation (us) and our Constitution". To do that, "they follow orders as required, with the belief that those orders are lawful, right, and just". If the order is to go to war, "they go"!

"We", Americans, "may" or "may not" agree with the policy that put "them" in harm's way. Even if "we" did support the policy that sent troops to war, and changed our minds "not to support the policy" (for whatever the reason, like it was the wrong decision based on bad information), "we" (you and I) can protest the policy, seek to change policy, and "still" (without compromising a position of opposition to the policy) show support for the troops. Think about it, how many times have any of us disagreed with a family member about a decision they made, but we still supported them. Granted, this is on a grander scale, but "you know" exactly what I'm saying.

All you have to do, is look inside your heart and be honest with yourself when you answer this question; "Should I or shouldn't I help my brother, sister, father, mother, cousin, friend, neighbor, fellow citizen that "my government" has put into harm's way "believing he / she was defending "ME" and "my way of life"? Think about it, be honest!

Of course supporting them is the right thing to do! How do "we" support them? I'll tell you first-hand; by making sure they have absolutely, positively every single thing possible "to survive". That would include; the best training possible before they go, the best equipment available (before, during, and after), the most experienced leadership available, the best logistical support, communication from family and friends, our faith, our hope, our prayers, and "OUR VOICES" speaking "non-stop on their behalf" every way, every day, until "EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM IS HOME, AND BEING HELPED (however they need it)".

"I'm telling you this from my heart, THEY NEED US RIGHT NOW!" I am pleading with each and every one of you to support "them"; "our brothers and sisters,
