How video games affect our lives

Video games effect our lives one way or antoher. It doesnt jsut extend to the younger generation, but to all of us now. We have so many games and game genres that it takes a toll on us.

-Action/Adventure Games-
These games give us the thrills we seek that we can not simply get anywhere else. From Ape Escape to Zoo Tycoon action games really do help us. All the war games you see are action games. A majority of them give you a history as well. Such as the World War 2 games like Brothers In Arms or Medal Of Honor. They are training simulations as well used by the military to train troops using little money. Adventure games go inot more traveling, such as the James Bond games. They take you into the world of a secret agent showing you all the places of the world and how to do everything like spy.

-Sports Games-
Sports games are great for those rainy days when you want to go play baseball or basketball outside. They are good for those who are disabled or are to lazy to jsut get up and go outside, but the one good thing about them is that they build co-ordiantion with your eyee, ears, and hands. Games like Madden 2006 or AMPED all give you a look into being a coach or controling a player or giving you the athlete feel to the game without all the practice and pain.

-Puzzle Games-
They dont make to many of these anymore, but some good ones are online like Bejeweled 2. A great palce to look for these kind of games would be addictinggames.com or newgrounds.com. Thay offerwide varieties of games for everyone, but puzzkle games mostly. Things that make you think what to do next and where to place the next piece. You constantly think and wont stop till its over or you pass out. They excercise our minds to a full length always.

-Simulation Games-
These are for those who want to change their life. The most popular would be The Sims. It is a game that lets you make a person and control how he or she lives there life while going through the normal steps of day to day living in a full 3D enviroment. Many people enjoy these kinds of games, but if you like marketing or money and stuff then try the Tycoon series. It has a variety of tactical thinking onto them on the concept of spending, saving, and distributing money. Like a mini economy in a box I guess you could say.

This is how games affect us although there are so many other ways as well.
