I lost you before you ever were born
I lost you before I knew what fate was
You're asking me why this should die
You ask me how I knew what hate was
To place it on you, to place on those who
Just don't understand this loathing
I didn't realize, you got Jesus' eyes
But you're wearing McCarthy's clothing
I'm in need of rescue
You're my heroine
I melt you down then
I push you in
I'm sorry I lied, it's not me who won't try
I know how much you wanted a love song
Your poison drains, flows to my veins
And I still want you though it's so wrong
Humbled like a wheelchair, see if I care
It's not like I have another choice
So wheel me around, because you've cut me down
Like Jesus with a deaf ear to Job's voice
I'm in need of rescue
You're my heroine
I heat you up then
I push you in
(Solo)
I read the lyrics, makes me so sick
To think that I'm so hopelessly addicted
Do I hate you, hate all that you do?
My wrist reveals the wounds you afflicted
So I ask for change, from me that's so strange
For I am the rock and life's the hard place
It was all a mistake, listen for Christ's sake
You're Jesus with the smile of Delilah's face
I'm in need of rescue
You're my heroine
I fill you up then
I push you in
Waitin' for my rescue
For my heroine
I kiss you sweetly
The needle goes in

All has been lost, there is no hope
