Salon facials are definitely worth the money. Not only are you getting the expertise of the professional therapist but your skin is receiving the care and attention it needs to stay in top condition. Facial skin has to last a whole lifetime and it has to put up with conditions which are potentially harmful to it. Think about weather conditions for instance. The body is covered up against the elements, but facial skin has to put up with wind, rain, intense heat, freezing cold, central heating, pollution, smoking/drinking alcohol, worry etc. Is it any wonder why skin can age so rapidly?
If more people treated themselves to a weekly/monthly or even bi-monthly salon facial they may prevent many unwanted skin conditions including premature lines, wrinkles and blemished skin. There are many products on the market aimed at helping wrinkled or saggy skin but by the time these conditions are showing on the skin the damage is done, and although these products may help soften existing lines a regular salon facial can go a long way to preventing the worst of the damage we see later in life. Prevention is better than cure, is definitely sound advice when it comes to skin care.
Most salons offer a range of facials from a basic facial (cleanse, tone, exfoliate, mask and moisturise) through to a luxurious facial using top of the range products and the latest electrical equipment. Most salons offer prices to suit everyone's pockets and can be very affordable. The treatments are usually in-depth and results can be seen immediately.
Salon facials are worth the money because they can also offer a great source of relaxation, carried out in a clean, aromatic room with soft music playing in the background while the beautician's expert hands work to loosen tight muscles in the face and neck, using deliciously scented, natural products to enhance your feeling of wellbeing. The beautician will use full strength professional products that have specific ingredients proven to bring real benefits to your particular skin type and she will have been trained in the expert application of these products. Most facials incorporate a deep facial tissue massage that not only works to tone slack muscles but also removes the excess fluid and toxins which can make the skin look dull and grey, revealing glowing and radiantly fresh skin.
Apart from the occasional discomfort of spot and blackhead extractions a facial should be a very enjoyable and relaxing treatment with many positive benefits, not only helping to look after skin but also the benefits to be gained by taking some time out to recharge the mind and body. Most treatments now can be likened to a therapy as products now contain aromatherapy oils or herbs that are absorbed into the skin where they will be of great benefit
Salon facials are worth the money simply because of the benefits gained in skin enhancement, relaxation and the radiant glow that comes from professional products applied with expertise. Now surely that is worth every penny.
