Essays: Life

We all must be at "cause" over the moment we call, "Now" if we care to use the energy and power that each of us possess. The Earth moves 1000 miles per hour and what we call "sunrise" and "sunset" are not true. Such statements only tell the wise that we are still students who believe that the "illusion" of a sitting and rising of the sun is real and that we have yet to get beyond the salesmanship of theology above truth. The sun always shines, never moves only the Earth has motion.

Before birth we all have sat among the stars waiting to be born maybe a thousand million times in a universe that is limitless. Yet somehow we believe that death is a frightful experience with a destination of heaven or hell. Such believes are but an affirmation of the statement that, "Everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die".

It is quite delicious to sit in the "Milky Way" and know there is only "Now". And know that when tomorrow comes it too will be "Now". Why delicious? Well I don't mean "delicious" like humans speak of food. But I mean that subtle sustenance that sustains the thrill of pleasure that is known through the tongue. And that the flavor of "delicious" just happens to be expressed through the tasting of food. But its value is farther more comprehensive than simply that which is expressed through eating; I hope you get my meaning.

"Now" makes "light speed" seem as slow as an Earth snail! "Now" can race "the speed of light" and win every time, hands down. Have you ever lost an argument with someone you deeply care for and the next moment they are gone. Not dead or dying but simply said to you "I don't care about you any more". When this happens you feel your importance drain through your limp body and slowly exit through your knees and each finger; one at a time. Well this is "Now" saying goodbye!

Having lost your importance you search for your being-ness. At that nano-second even the firmness of the ground has betrayed you as you try desperately try to find your footing. Every action within that nano moment slows and each passing second stretches to seemingly 24 hours. If you have had such an occurrence than you understand to physics of "Now"!

Or maybe you have aged in your youth by 50 years and you see a lovely human being you would like to acquaint yourself. But the age difference tells you that your actions will be misunderstood and it would be likewise inappropriate according to the accepted norms. A voice tells you, "Now there is someone I would like to know". If so, you understand the speed of "Now". It is "Now" that we miss when fail to see its value as a player in your happiness. Without fail we all experience the fleeting challenge that only "Now" can create. It is "Now" that we miss unknowingly and only understand its presence when "Now" is gone.

Our human liquid love of life flows through our bodies like running water from a faucet and feels like a warm refreshing shower at day's end. Love cleans away the grim of pain that we all feel from time to time. But somehow we still miss the beauty of love's gift. I love the playground you called stars, I love the cosmos with its limitless destinations, I love the light that shines from a billion suns, and I am amazed at the human consciousness we gain as we study and learn not to be afraid of change. By persisting through life we have cracked open the mysteries of science and increased human longevity. Perhaps we are beginning to see. "Now" that is fun! By the time you finish this last sentence "Now" will have traveled around the world and back to you, the reader, at an incalculable speed. A speed you can only witness, "Now".
