Music defines people in such a drastic way that titles and names were given to people who listened to certain music. There are those who listen to rap would be considered affiliated with a gang. While someone who liked country would be well a country person. Then there is those who like rock and were considered to be "Emo" or "Punk" because they listen to that genre of music. People in general have turned to liking music of the general taste and not what they actually like. Especially in the teen scene its important to listen to a certain kind of music or you are weird or belong to a different group of friends. People define each other by what music they listen to and judge them on that sole fact. If the world could just open there ears and listen to music they liked and not what the general public liked i think the world would be better off. Music can give depth to a person and also a mystery. This one thing is so powerful in our lives because most music is universally understood and it has been a past-time of everyone. It has been in our blood to sing and dance so long that its a part of everyones life. Another thing about music is it gives people personality and taste. Music can give people a romantic side anything you want it to be.

Now the choice is what kind of music you will listen to. There are so many genres such as country, rap, rock, and many more sub genres such as hard rock or underground rap music has allot of choices that are up to you as a person to decide. Music can define you as a sweetheart or a hardcore person but in the end you should choose music because you like it. It can give feelings add dramatic effect anything really music can be used in so many ways we probably still haven't used it in all its ways. How would you judge a person who liked different music than you wouldn't you think they were kind of weird? People often associate themselves with other people who like the same kind of music they like because it gives them something to talk about. It makes for better conversations and what are people best at doing? Talking, because its the only way to express your feelings and communication is the thing that makes us as strong as we are. If we couldn't talk do you think we would be were we are now? Anyways music choice is important because it will define you even if you don't want it to.

In the end music is such an important factor in trying to find a person who you might like as they often have the same likes as you. People often associate themselves with a group of people who like the same music as them and judge each other on it. Would you prefer to be stuck on an island with someone who liked similar things as you? Or would you rather be stuck there with someone who hates everything you like and loves everything you hate. Music has been important for humans in general as we use it in a powerful way to communicate stories and tell the world how we feel. Thank goodness for music variety if not everyone would listen to the exact same music and how boring would a world be with only one genre of music? Defining yourself to a certain kind of music is bad in my eyes and should be seen more as preferring one kind of music over another and not giving names because he or she likes different music.
