Friendship, a term that everyone knows about. Friends, we may not need it... but we all want it. Everyone wants a companion, right? Well, a friendship is a relationship between two friends. Real friends. Friends that help each other, comfort each other and even stay with them throughout their tough times, and of course, vice versa. Friendship is a two-way street. If that street is broken then that friendship is too. Friendship is like a bond, a bond between two people. Like a family but without a blood connection.
In a friendship, friends pay attention to you, they notice when your feelings are down or if you're hurt. They also know when things are bad or good. They'll comfort you and guide you from right and wrong. They share secrets with you, and of course, you share secrets with them too. They tell the truth even though they know it hurts. The truth that no one is willing to tell but they'll tell it, even if it means losing you. They put your well being in front of themselves. They take care of you, when you're sick; they watch over you. Most people believe friendship is about friends sharing happiness together, but it's also friends sharing sadness together as well. They give you a shoulder to cry on and their sleeves to wipe with. If you're sad then they'll cry. If you're happy then they'll smile. It's almost like a twin but you're not.
Friendship, it's easy to tell if it's true or not. Friends will never hurt you for their own amusement. They will never lie to you so you'll get in trouble. They'll never hurt your feelings for no apparent reason. They won't ask you for money and never return it. They won't ask to copy your homework. They won't steal your stuff and say someone else did. They won't steal your boy/girl friend and say it was for you, because if they did do it for you, then they'd just tell you, not steal them from you. Friends should not talk behind your back either.
Friendship is a bond between two real friends. It's a two way street and it's ALWAYS a two way street. If it's ever a one way street then that friendship is a lie. Friends, we all want it. Fake friends, we all want to leave it. Reality, people have both kinds of friends, the real and the fake, and these two are also considered friendship. Two friendships, one that can help you and the other that can destroy you. Pick wisely but in then end, real friendship consists of real friends and fake friendship consists of enemies. It makes sense, right?
