If I understand Frater LA correctly, I now have an understanding that occult simply means hidden. Why is it hidden? Is it something that the norm would not approve of? Is it to keep power for those who know to themselves? Either way it doesn't seem to be a good thing. In fact, going all the way back to the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve tried to hide themselves from God after eating from the tree that was forbidden. Hmm; so does that mean that they were aware they had sinned and thus tried to hide the sin from God?
Hidden then could also be interpreted to mean to hide evil or sin. Isn't that why we lie? So others don't know we did something we're ashamed of? For my two cents worth, I will strive to restrain from my curiosity, and follow the advise of the Bible. I would love to be back in innocence, in a beautiful perpetually maintained garden, with plenty to eat, and lots of play time. In that great book of wisdom, we are told not to seek after occult practices. Adam and Eve were the first, if they truly were hiding, to disobey this command. Eating from the tree of knowledge was seeking after occult. So, there you have my born again Christian way of thinking on this subject.
Well, I only have 240 words in the article, and believe I've spoken all, however since I do want to publish this, I will try to write 160 more words. It may become repetitious, so reader beware, and accept my apology ahead of time.
I do know that when I'm in complete harmony and existance with God, following His commands, talking with Him, walking in the Garden, I'm filled with perfect peace. When I'm sidetracked and my curiosity gets the best of me, I no longer look to God for wisdom, but seek the foolish things of men. Then my suspicion starts brewing, and I want to hide what I do; I become fearful, and unloving. Do all our emotions good or bad stem from following after God or the occult? Is that why God teaches us to leave the occult behind, so we can have peace, and love others like He commands?
I believe so; as all of God's commands, they are for our good; so we may prosper and live in perfect peace and beauty - with God.
Well, I now have 400 words, but only 2158 characters. I need 242 more. What does it mean to be Christian? It means to understand that I sin, but am forgiven by the death of Jesus Christ. This alone is my redemption. An atonement that anyone can accept. The only rule is to acknowledge that Christ did indeed die for your sins. That's it. There is nothing more you need to do; let God complete His good intentions in you.
