We enter into this world with nothing, and we leave the same way. What we learn and experience in this life (and pass on to others) could fill a hundred libraries of thought. Every day our lives are filled with some type of interaction with someone which usually goes un-noticed. We smile and nod as we pass others on the street or at our jobs; without giving a thought at the end of the day: who we talked to or what we spoke about. Most of these conversations are lost in the vastness of "thought" in our minds; filed deeply away somewhere in our subconscious were all of the forgotten memories go and lie dormant until needed.
Every day of our existence we leave lasting impressions on people whether we realize it or not. Although, some of these might be bad impressions the majority of them are good which sticks with some people for the rest of their lives. We are all millions of ripples in a never-ending river of memories and experiences. The hundreds of conversations and ideas we discuss with our family members and friends also stick deep in their unconscious memories. These memories and ideas are passed on to their children, and children's children, and on and on.
We've just left behind what our parents left us; memories and experiences of the mind and soul. A little bit of us rubs off on the world each day as we pass through it; like a comet passing through a Nebula scattering bits and pieces of itself as it travels through time. Years after we've left this world even the smallest of our intentions come into bloom like a beautiful flower; as time lives on and on into infinity. We are a particle of time which has been left behind.
Our existence in this world is never really over. We leave bits and pieces of ourselves scattered in others whom we've loved and shared our lives with. We leave behind a legacy which will live on and prosper; one which will go farther than our wildest dreams could take us. Our intentions and our hopes ride with these individuals long after we've passed from this world.
When we finally depart from this world we leave behind our third dimensional existence. Most of our ego is left behind as we merge with the true part of ourselves the "higher self." When we left the ego behind the never-ending battle for survival and power also went with it. We are now becoming spirit form as we pass on to the next step in our soul's ascension.
No longer are we weighed down by our old third dimensional body because we've also left that behind. This is probably what most people fear leaving the most is their "third dimensional shell." And of course this is the last thing we leave behind.
