long and you are not welcome in his church, then think of it like this. How many times have you not talked to a friend all year and then gave them a call on their birthday to give them well wishes? Has that person ever been mad at you for calling them out of the blue to tell them Happy Birthday? I am going to venture to guess NO. Jesus will be more happy to hear from you then all of those friends combined. Another bonus is the church is welcoming and free.

6) GIFTS: With times tight, gift giving becomes stressful and heartbreaking because you can't give the things you would really love to give to your loved ones. First thing you need to remember are these people you love usually love you just as much. This means they will still love you no matter what you give them. However, there is one gift you can give anyone and it is free. YOUR TIME!

Make gift certificates donating your time to them and put the certificates in a card. The certificates can donate time for all kinds of things. Here are some examples:

-Give your wife the day off by taking care of the kids, doing laundry, or cleaning the house

-Give your husband a day of making love and lounging around together

-Give your dad a day of his choice to help him finish a project he needs done

-Give your mom a day of help around the house or in the garden

-Give your wife an hour massage

-Give your kids a full day of catch and games of their choice

You get the idea. Choose a gift of time that is special to that person.

I know this list may not be perfect, but it can bring back simplicity in our lives. If you ask me, we have all been missing simplicity for several years. This is probably the big reason why we are receiving this alarming wake up call in the form of a recession. Keep your life simple and humble and you will be rewarded in so many other ways better than a paycheck. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL AND TO ALL A SIMPLE LIFE!
