From brightly colored lights to festive toilet seat covers, the spirit of Christmas is all around us. With the average American being on the road 40 minutes a day, your car should not be left out of the Christmas spirit. There are many ways to spruce up your vehicle this holiday season.
1) Garnish your vehicle with a Christmas wreath
Whether you drive a Ford F150 or Toyota Corolla, a Christmas wreath will add pizzazz to any vehicle. You can purchase a wreath at any grocery or craft store and hang it on the front bumper of your car. Wreaths can come with bows, holly, and other decorations already attached. Make sure the size of your wreath is appropriate for the type of car you drive. You can hang the wreath from your car using fishing line or zip ties; just make sure it is secure. A ten car pileup caused by a misplaced Christmas decoration would be unfortunate.
2) Paint a holiday scene on your car windows
With a little window paint, you can transform any vehicle into a winter wonderland. Window paint can be purchased at any craft store in a variety of colors. If you are not artistic, you can print a template of your favorite holiday scene or saying off your computer. Use the template to make your design. Make sure you can still see out of your windows when you are driving.
3) Add a festive holiday antenna ball
Throughout the year some fast food restaurants sell antenna balls, but they may not be festive enough for your needs. To make your own festive holiday ball, visit your local craft store. There you will find foam balls, felt paper, and all of the other materials you will need to make a holiday antenna ball. If you buy three foam balls of various sizes, you can easily make a snowman. Be sure to secure the balls to your antenna to prevent any antenna ball casualties while driving.
4) Get crazy with lights
If wreaths, window art, and antenna balls aren't enough decorations for your car, you can always use holiday lights. Today, there are many lights powered by batteries. You can string these lights from the inside of your car sparking envy from anyone driving by. If you are unable to find battery powered lights, you can always find an adapter and plug the lights into your car's electrical outlets.
Whether you paint a winter wonderland on the back window or hang a frosty-the-snowman antenna ball, these car decorating tips will help transform your car into the epitome of Christmas.
