Poetry: I love you

by Virginia Gaces

Created on: December 17, 2008   Last Updated: December 10, 2011

I love you in ways that could not be sung;

a song, melodious, that rolls softly in my palate.

Every lyric savored by the buds of my tongue.

And rises slowly to peaks undefined.

I love you in ways that could not be described.

A ramble of words into the open, wide space.

They fill every nook and cranny of my mind.

But alas! They could not reach you, I still pine.

I love you as infinite as this poem.

The rush of rhythm is quite immeasurable.

They run in puny words and long verses.

And supplant what is unattainable.

I love you because I love you, dearest.
