like solar, wind, and geothermal; retrofitting schools and government offices to be more energy efficient; and creating jobs in port and border security to help keep us safe. I believe these projects have both short and long term benefit to our nation, the most immediate being job growth for our starving economy.
The next priority will be the tax code. Loopholes allowing corporate giants to pay little or no income tax will be closed. The tax breaks for the richest 1% will be repealed, and capital gains taxes will increase on profits over one million. I want to make social security solvent by taxing all earned income, not just income under $120,000.00 per year. Companies will earn tax breaks by putting Americans to work, not loopholes or hiding assets overseas. By making these changes the middle class will see a decrease in taxes with increased tax credit for health, education, day care, dependants, and green energy home improvement costs.
Finally, I want to speak of my goal of health care for everyone. I have not given up on this goal and my team is working out the details on the best way to proceed. I will keep you updated and hope to have news soon. In closing, I ask every American to examine and interact with the new websites and to seek ways to make life better, safer, happier and more efficient for all Americans. By each of us taking pride in our country, by each of us working to eliminate the waste and corruption, we can accomplish these goals and not increase our debt in doing so. I look forward to this journey and thank you again for this opportunity. God bless you and God bless America.
