They are sassy, sometimes difficult, and mostly confusing to understand. The teenage girl can be a challenge to the adults in her life 365 days a year, but especially when it comes to holiday shopping. If you are lacking inspiration when it comes to gift giving for your 16, 17 or 18 year old girl, let these ideas inspire you!

1. Gas card

Whether your teenager has her own car or uses her parent's, gas prices are no doubt putting a damper on her weekend outings. Help her enjoy her time with friends by covering the cost of fuel with a gas card.

2. Day at the spa

Most teenage girls already think of themselves as young adults and enjoy more adult like activities. While they are still to young to partake in a lot of things, a day at the spa can make them feel like young women while giving them a new hairstyle or stylish nails to show off to their friends.

3. On line music gift cards

While your young lady may already have gadgets galore, she certainly does not have an endless supply of all the latest music and video clips she wishes to download. Help add to her collection with a gift card for her favorite on line downloading site.

4. Career Day

If the teenage girl in your life has an idea what she would like to do after she finishes school, help her with the decision. Contact friends, family and co-workers to find out if they know someone in her field of interest and contact that person to set up a job shadowing day for her on her holiday or spring break. Not only will it be a fun day for her, but will help her prepare for the future.

5. New Year's Party

Throw a party for her friends on New Year's. There are limited options for teenagers on New Year's Eve and by throwing a party in your home not only will you get a chance to please your teenage girl, but you'll also be providing a fun, and safe environment for her and her friends to ring in the New Year.

6. College Planning Magazines

If she's planning to attend college, assist her in the overwhelming decision of which to attend by giving her a subscription to a college planning magazine such as College Planning and Management Magazine or Next Step Magazine. This is a thoughtful gift that she can enjoy all year while exposing her to the decisions she will be making in the future.

7. Professional Photo Shoot

What teenage girl would not want to feel like a super model for a day? Let her feel like a queen for a day by taking her to get her picture taken by a professional photographer. Add to the day by first taking her to get her make
