Walmart is one of the most successful businesses in the United States and is classified as a large business. Walmart is also a non union company. Because of the non union status of Walmart, it has become the object of criticism by the liberals in the US Government as well as unionized competitor stores. This is precipitated by Walmart's success in sales and profit.

One example of the criticism of Walmart is the recent death of an employee who was trampled to death at the entrance during a Walmart sales event. Many liberals were quick to suggest that Walmart was completely at fault for not properly manning the entrance to assure that the employee was not in danger of being trampled to death. In fact, in the recent year there has been a growing effort to criticize the company for being too competitive and driving out other stores in their locations and for purchasing merchandise from off shore companies for their sales stock.

As a matter of perspective we should wonder what kind of a society we have in the US when a gathering of people for a sales promotion disregard the value of life and trample an employee to death. Then they want to blame Wahl Mart for the death. These are the same people who dream of going to Spain and participating in the running of the bulls where there is a good chance of being trampled to death or seriously injured. In that instance after they are killed I guess they would react similarly and say that we should declare war on Spain. There is something definitely wrong with this picture. The chances are that when people act like animals and disregard the most basic right of an employee at work by trampling him to death to be first in line for the purchases at a sales promotion it is they who are at fault.

Many shop at Walmart to take advantage of the great prices and good customer relations provided by their well run business. The company is profitable, employees are many and do not have to soak the purchaser to support their work force with exorbitant pay and benefits. Customers are appreciative of the price savings and in these hard economic times many would not be able to save their budget by the savings when shopping at Walmart.

One of the innovative ideas used by Walmart is using the display space at their large stores for stocking items and display for selling space. This means there is no wasted space for storage of items and more expedient refilling times for stock expended from the shelves by sales. This also cuts down restocking
