Battered and bruised
Mistreated, misued
Hurt with the pain of living with this
Hurt by the thought of marital bliss
Thrown to the ground, shut out from light
Why try to win this losing fight?
Covered all up in purple, black and blue
If this kept on going, she sadly knew
She would live in a place without anger or fear
Without the hate and the torment that badly sears
Why then, must she go on living like this
She only knows death isn't hard to miss
Battered, beaten, bruised and hurt
She leaves this world

Battered and bruised
Mistreated, misued
Hurt with the pain of living with this
Hurt by the thought of marital bliss
Thrown to
Bruised, Lonely and Deserted
I am so bruised, oh Lord. I want to hide.
In your arms, I think I will abide.
My childhood
Pinches
Here, there.
Fingers
Squeeze, release.
Bites
Deep, shallow.
Teeth
Sink, rise.
Pain
Quick, lingering.
Love
Fierce,

Bruised Art
Who can predict the wars
or the hurricane rains
Love that’s gone bad
Will never be the same
A soul battered
"Bruised"
Marked Black and Blue, Bruised.
Are You not Satisfied, "Love".
Enough is Enough.
