Ever heard of the term "stalkerazzi"?
There are news reporters. They work for their networks and hunt for a story. There are the paparazzi. They go after celebrities in search of a story. And then, there are the "stalkerazzi". They are the ones who harass celebrities for an exclusive. In some cases, the stalkerazzi are law-breakers. Lindsay Lohan suffered an encounter with stalkerazzi. It led a harrowing, car chase that ended up in criminal court. Paris authorities accused stalkerazzi of causing the accident that killed Princess Diana and her boyfriend, Mohammed Fahdi (1997). Why are they doing this?
We are the reason for all of this commotion. Our society is consumed with digging into the private lifes of rich and famous, or infamous. We centered our daily routines on Tivo-ing red carpet events, reality shows and situational comedies. We garnished our weekly earnings to purchase OK, Us Weekly, People, InTouch, Star and The National Enquirer rags. Some of these periodicals have as much use as toilet paper. Their stories are often embellished, if not fabricated. They have no "good news" to tell; only bad.
Our society is addicted to the fast life. We have envy over those with the money and the power. We have more envy over those who have the money, the power and the beauty. Take these upcoming moguls: Paris Hilton and Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson.
Ms. Hiton Hotels has young, American women by her diamond, pinky ring. She has linked herself with B-list to A-list entertainers, shipping heirs, movie and record producers. Her "baptism" into fame arrived courtesy of a grainy, X-rated, sex tape. Scenes of her gripping the bed sheet are downloaded every day. "One Night in Paris" accumulated over 7 million units sold. That incident helped land her a snuff (murder) part in the horror flick, "House of Wax (2004). She earned monetary rewards for her bad behavior. The infamous DUI arrest in 2007 enriched her with a $1 million-dollar, post-jail interview on Larry King Live. MTV (Music Television) created a reality to choose Ms. Hilton next best friend. The former, Nicole Ritchie, discovered marriage, motherhood and responsibility. But, the 6'1" blonde heiress with size 11 feet has too many partying days ahead. Just imagine that. Ms. Hilton has a bigger shoe size than most of her boyfriends. Her ex, from the band Good Charlotte, never measured up.
Hilton has a female generation using her doctrine. Thousands of young girls overspend their parents' money to live the Beverly Hills lifestyle.
