Reality of professional wrestling: It's not as fake as you think

From time to time, you hear non-wrestling fans always commenting on how fake wrestling is. Well, they are missing the whole story and truthfully will never understand or be willing to listen carefully on the details especially with a closed mind. These are the same people that will not hesitate to watch any movie at all. If anything, pro wrestling is pre-determined but fake would be in my eyes would be that nobody would actually be injured or hurt.

Take for example in movies, you see all the fight scenes that take place and those are given multiple takes to get the scene they want where as in wrestling you get one take and that's it.

The best way to put it would be for those who are involved with watching it, it will never need to be explained and for those that don't, you can't explain it to them. Mainly those who do not have an open mind and don't see it for what it is are going to continue to say the same things over and over again to the point where there is no point in discussing it with them. Trust me, it is very hard and you just have to walk by and not bother getting into a shouting contest because of being close minded.

Wrestlers over the years have had injuries and can be career threatening. One wrestler that many may not know about would be one called Magnum T.A., a guy that was going to get a serious push to become perhaps the NWA Champion. What stopped that from happening was a car wreck that paralyzed. Another but this was one a wrestling related accident with Droz and D-Lo Brown. What happened was a complete accident and turned to be a severe neck injury to Droz that he accidently got dropped on his head. D-Lo Brown was naturally upset over this but Droz didn't hold it against him saying it was an accident.

There was only one wrestling related death in the ring that I can recall and that was the one with Owen Hart. He died trying to come from the rafters doing his Blue Blazer persona and an accident happened with the rope as he was supposed to stumble a little looking like a goof. Thing is, he was supposed to become the Intercontinental Champion.

What really is a fact is that you have to train and have to be athletic to perform some of the moves. Think about it, look at the wrestlers that are involved in high flying. Those guys take time to practice and learning their craft not just through wrestling schools but also on the independent wrestling circuit. These people involved do not wrestle on trampolines or anything resembling that and the ring is very hard.

Sure, in the ring the storylines and the outcomes are pre-determined but the injuries and deaths that actually happen in the wrestling world are real. These guys and gals that are in the ring work very hard and should be given more respect than what the general media gives them. To say that it is fake is an insult to anyone involved and you can ask any wrestler and they'd feel the same way. Conclusion on this should be don't call it fake for sure, just simply state it is pre-determined and just look at it for what it is, simply entertainment and nothing more.
