Germs spread easily, especially among organisms that live together, in communities. We humans belonged to this group of organisms that live in a community. When we we take a public transport, we hold the grab poles; when we shop at the supermart, we push the trolley by the handles; when we pay at the cashier, we gave him or her cash (or card) and he or she gives us the change (or the card back). Do you know how much germs are there on the grab poles, the trolley handles, the cashier's hands?
The germs from these places can come from various sources and who knows, it may just mix these germs to become supergerms! My important tip in fighting the war against spreading germs? Diligent Cleaning!
Following the simple steps I advise in cleaning to remove or avoid these germs, I assure better protection against them.
To avoid getting sick from these germs, these are the simple steps you can do:
A) Bring sanitary wipe out with you, always. This can help to prevent unnecessary contact with germs. This is especially so when you are shopping at a supermarket with the in-store trolley. These trolleys are good germs breeding grounds; the last few customers might have placed packs of meats on the trolley.
At the same time, good personal hygiene is important, you must be diligent in hand washing and keep your nails short if you do not need them. You must bear in mind that your personal hygiene is your first line of defense. Make sure you are not inviting the germs in the first place, otherwise all the advices following will not have any effect.
Due to limitations in fresh food packing technology, the exterior of these packed foods might have contacted with the raw meat, or fluids from the meat. When these packed food are placed on the trolley, the fluids stay on the trolley. With prolonged exposure in the open environment, germs proliferate at a faster rate. These trolleys are 'recycled' into the trolley bays without any cleaning. This is a horrifying fact, just observe how these trolleys are used and reused, you would appreciate the need to use a sanitary wipe.
With a sanitary wipe, we can wipe the trolley before our use. Most importantly, wipe the handles first. We do not know how the last user has used it and the safest way to keep the germs away is to clean it when you are unsure.
When taking a public transport, avoid touching the handles or poles without cleaning. If touching them cannot be avoided, wash your hands and wipe them with the sanitary wipe. After paying at the cashier,
