You walked into my life.
Though you really didn't know
who I was
or who we were
so many years ago you came into my life.
Did you think it was me
who came to be
a part of your family?
You didn't like what I did
and you didn't like what I said.
The distance between us
left me thinking you were dead
yet it wasn't you that died.
The love that wasn't shown
left us very cold and feeling all alone.
Can we start over now?
Will you reach out again?
I'ts never too late to try.
