The borderline is fuzzy,
the genius it's there,
taking thought in introspection,
no reality to spare,
and to a point rides logic,
'til obscure connection sparks,
with thought waves jumping hurdles,
to a message in the dark,
in leaps the logic lessens,
and the madness comes to reign,
then others feel the danger,
and force away the pain.

Traces of pain,
coursing through my veins.
Tugging at tubes,
willing my arms to move.
Pushing a button,
unconscious of reaction.
Calming,
"Come inside and sit right down",
the doctor told me with a frown.

Why do you wish that
Night descends on the city sprawl
Blanketing everything in a coal black shawl
