I cast my rod in the ocean
With baited breath I wait
This my life station
I'm worth my catch in weight
My worth changes with the tide
I roam
I roam the oceans wide
My only company the sea foam
What I catch today
Will be my days pay
I dare not sleep
My worth is in the deep
Happy a fisherman in the sea
Sparing
Sparing not to finish up my coffee
My nose my bearing
I smell where my worth might be
A school of fish I have found
Caught
Tired I can now turn around
What I caught will be bought
Save one
One I will keep for my supper
Till I get up to the next sun
Go back out to earn a few more copper
My worth
A fisherman from birth
Honest
First on my list
No corrupt bait
My fish never raw or late
Hook
Line or sinker
Sometimes I reel in a book
Try to increase my worth be a better thinker
