Poetry: Broken love

by Jason Adams

Created on: December 13, 2008

Our love was a lie

A lie that went nowhere

For you I would still die

But you still don't care

I gave you everything I could

Buy you wanted more

I could do nothing good

You selfish whore

I've taken your abuse

Sat through your lies

Turned from your drug use

And became that which I despise

You took part of my life

You took part of my soul

And through the unending strife

You took my control

You killed my hope

Fed me lies and deceit

I could no longer cope

And I came to defeat

I HATE YOU!

Wasted so much time together

I love you.

I probably will forever

You were my first

So I was inept

There's no quenching your thirst

Now there's nothing left

Except for memories of the past

Which I care not to see

The images that are cast

Make me want you here with me

So I can scold you

And touch your skin

So I can hold you

And feel you within

But it's all lies

And it isn't fair

I want to look into your eyes

I want to touch your hair

I can't help but cry

No matter how real it may seem

Your were the lie

Our love was just a dream
