Although there are many people in this world who are silent and not big fans of speaking, there are some situation when they speak and when they are expected to speak. It is not good to be very talkative person and to speak non-stop as well as it is not welcomed to overdo with silence and the lack of talking.
Too talkative persons suck out the energy and patience out of others. People tend to keep distance with those who speak too much because they can not stop them from doing so. And they cant get a moment to speak out! And thus express themselves, because there is one human being who is too concerned about himself and what he says so he does not see that right next to him is someone who listens to him.
But the same happens with those of "too silent" type of people. When you communicate with this type of people you somehow get a feeling that they are not listening to you, because they are too afraid or too shy even to ask a question when it is and when it is not related to the topic that you are speaking about. They also don't answer your questions, or their answers are short and not giving enough information to you. And next time when you will see this silent person you will avoid communication with him.
So if you are a person who prefers to talk less and listen more, then I will give you some examples and reasons why you should not remain silent and why you should speak out more rather then stay silent.
DEPRESSION. Long time silence might damage your mental health. You will use the feeling of participation in this life. The value of your thoughts and opinions, and experiences will fade. People will start to keep distance from you, and you won't understand: why.
BECOMING A VICTIM OF ABUSE. Victims of abuse usually are silent personalities. Because they don't say anything against that somebody who abuses them, and they don't speak out afterwards the abuse is made, because they don't feel strong enough to defend their right to speak about what happened. They will say "It was my fault" or "What's the point to speak about it? What happened- happened, lets kip this topic." But the thing about not sharing your experience of abuse is a crime. Because you have to speak about your negative experiences as well as about positive experiences, because it helps us to understand what we are doing wrong and what correctly in this society. DISRESPECT. Both to you and the other person. Other person will think you disrespect him, because you don't ask questions, you don't share
